Chris Cornell, the Audioslave and Soundgarden frontman, dies by suicide, age 52.

He will definitely be missed, may his soul rest in peace.

These legends or demigods seemed to have had it all. Most of us would give an arm or a leg to be in their shoes, or even be blessed with an iota of their talent.

Did they just wake up one morning and decide they don’t want to live ? or that much in their world made no sense.

Some of these geniuses did suffer from depression, or were plagued with some ailment or the other. But their works of art, or their music that were scripted from their torment and demons, have left an indelible impression on generations. But suicide, we will never know why…

Then again maybe they were just bored, or were searching for that elusive peace and suicide was the only way. Money, fame and fortune could just not fill the void they were experiencing.

Or possibly they liked living on the edge. Like these last words of Terry Kath, lead guitarist of the rock band Chicago, who shot himself while playing Russian roulette “Don’t worry it’s not loaded”

We will never know why…
